10:30AM-11:30AM "Understanding Cal-OSHA regulations Past & Future"

Most employers know that Cal-OSHA is a governmental agency that has jurisdiction over their workplace and that there are a multitude of rules and regulations that must be followed. But, many organizations don't know what regulations are, where their power comes from, and how they are developed. At the end of this presentation, you will know what regulations are and the structure behind them. You will know how a regulation comes into being and how to stay ahead of the curve when new regulations, crop up. The second half the presentation will contain new regulations promulgated in the last year, as well as some other important regulations that have come into effect recently. We will also discuss proposed regulations that are on the horizon. Staying ahead of the curve is the benefit of this class. If you are aware of the rules and regulations that will regulate your workplace, you can be prepared when they are implemented and a visit from your friendly neighborhood regulatory inspector will go in a much better direction.
